ReplyDelete• Physiological needs – hunger, thirst, sleep
• Safety needs – freedom, protection and no pain
• Social needs – love, friendship and involvement in social activities
• Esteem needs – self-confidence, recognition and appreciation
• Self-actualization – becoming the very best you can be

Deletevery good Topic Jackson! There are several reasons why employee motivation is important. Mainly because it allows management to meet the company’s goals. Without a motivated workplace, companies could be placed in a very risky position. Motivated employees can lead to increased productivity and allow an organization to achieve higher levels of output. Imagine having an employee who is not motivated at work. They will probably use the time at their desk surfing the internet for personal pleasure or even looking for another job. This is a waste of your time and resources.

DeleteEvery organization needs to attract and retain employees to increase productivity. In order to motivate employees, HR leaders must have a clear vision of what they want from them. Unsatisfied employees will perform poorly or give unsatisfactory results. They must understand each employee's behavior and reward them accordingly. There are various reward practices and strategies that should be implemented to motivate employees.

DeleteImpact of motivation towards employee performance has direct positive relationship. If the company has fulfilled the factors of Hersberg's two factor theory employees feel fulfilled and release of achievement. Motivated committed employees contribute more towards organization in term of productivity, engagement in every task and contribute immensely towards final goal of the company.

DeleteAccording to McGregor’s theory ‘x’ and theory ‘y given a clear explanantion, Theory X explains employees are not motivated and they dislike working because of the leadership style is not effective enough to concentrate on their jobs.
ReplyDeleteTheory Y explains the management style make the difference, where the managers assume that to employees are self-motivated to seek responsibility to achieve the company goals. (Theory X and Theory Y)
If I conclude with motivation is a mental condition that encourages people to do tasks with the best level of enthusiasm and positivity. The leader must ensure that everyone in the team and throughout the organization is motivated.
Thank You Jackson great topic.
